Looky looky what I found!!! (Python)

I went to my local big outdoors store in Maine this morning to trade some stuff in. I went over to the revolver case and my mouth almost dropped. They were real busy behind the counter as usual so I sort of hovered over the case. About 1/2 hour later I was holding a Colt Python. Ohhhhhhhhhhh it is sweet. As you can see from the pictures there is some slight holster wear around the muzzle and there is some light wear on the original grips. Serial number puts it as made in 1966. It was only $650!!!!!!!!!OMG I said to myself. Pictures are below and I will be taking it to the range this weekend. I think I did pretty good!

The trigger is sweet. Unlike my 686 it stacks up at the end of the pull, but it is smooth and sweet nonetheless.

I have been researching Pythons for awhile now. I knew that $650 was a super deal. In the past year I have only seen one at the place I bought mine and that one was $950. The place I bought it will RARELY lower the price unless you buy ALOT of stuff from them. I feel confident I got a great deal. There are some Pythons on gunbroker, but I don't buy handguns that I can't fondle.

Yes, I got it at KTP! Can you believe that. It was on hold for 2 weeks. I guess the person who wanted it could not afford it? It just came off hold this morning and it was put in the revolver case. I got to KTP at 9am this morning and I am glad I did.

It is my first Python but not my first Colt. I have a Colt Trooper and a Colt Detectives Special.
