If NuFinish will work, will Turtle Wax?

Just got to thinking... I have a bottle of Turtle Wax sitting on the shelf that I don't like on my car but that's another story. Anyway, I've read a lot about people adding NuFinish to corncob to polish and wondered if Turtle Wax would work? I can't see why not. Any comments?

I thought Nufinish promoted themselves as being a "non-wax" car polish and that's why you didn't have to race the buff it in befor the sun baked in the streaks...

Google Nufinish and check out their product sight.

You'll find it in the dollar stores

Yes, I've used regular Turtle Wax in my untreated corncob grit. It works very well, and the microscopic wax layer preserves the shine for months in storage. Just add an ounce or so to the corncob in a Midway tumbler, then allow it to run a few minutes to spread the liquid out a bit so it doesn't get clots on the brass.

For several years now, I've been buying Turtle Wax "Scratch and Swirl Remover" for the same job, in the pious hope that it might be a tad more aggressive in action than the regular stuff. The shine is almost unbelievable...FAR brighter than factory-new brass, and again, it keeps the shine for months or years in storage before reloading. Still, the standard TW works fine, too. Don't be afraid to run the tumbler for several hours or more.

No brass deterioration has appeared from the use of these products, and I do a LOT of cast-bullet loading per year.

+1 to turtle wax and walnut media

2 hrs. and it's brite and shiney

Thanks. I'll give it a shot and see how it comes out.

If I buy any more different brands of car polish, my wife is going to expect me to start waxing the car :) :)

NOT!!

I clean my truck once a year.....usually with a shovel.
