i have a bolt action rifle with a broken stock.
i want to replace the stock.
Which of the trigger guard screws do i remove?

thanks

I would guess all of them barring any detailed information and considering that you want to replace the entire stock.

it's a New UltraLight Arms Model 28.
the sling stud broke free (lots of rounds fired off a bipod)

it is my understanding that ONLY ONE of the trigger guard
screws is to be removed, in order to not change the
alignment of the action/point of impact

Maybe I don't understand what you're asking, but...
If you're replacing the stock, you gotta take everything out of the old one and re-assemble in the new one....yes???...Can't be done without taking out all screws....right???

which Guard screw to remove stock?

that very's from manufacturer.

Most of them have ONE big headed screw, about where a high powered rifle front guard screw would be.

If that does not release action, try the screw at the back of the trigger guard.

The boltaction shotguns I have worked on only have the one screw.
