Does anyone has a S&W 36 and a Ruger SP101 with a 3 inch barrel side by side pics? I would like to see how they compare in size with each other. Please and thank you!
OK..... I guess no one has both, a S&W 36 J-frame with a 1 7/8 barrel and a Ruger SP101 3 incher. Can someone post a pic of a SP101 3 incher with a ruler next to it? Please and thank you.
Seiko.... Thank you so much, this really helps me. I am thinking on trading a Glock 17 for a Ruger SP101, I wanted to see what a 3 inch Ruger looked like beside a S&W 36 2 incher. I knew the Ruger SP101 was a larger frame than the J frame of the S&W, but I also knew it was smaller than a K frame of a S&W. Thanks, this really helps, and thanks for your time.
Oh, by the way Seiko... Nice shootin' irons you have there. Those are some sweet looking Smiths and I love the finish on the Ruger. I bet you are a proud Daddy to those kids.
No problem.
Sp101 is one of the best revolvers you can buy. And thats coming for a S&W freak (I own 30 of them). The finish is just duracoat. After I rounded all the sharp edges and cut it for moonclips and so on I had to refinish it
The SP101 is indeed an excellent revolver. Granted I sold mine, but not because of any problems with the model. On the contrary, it was built like a bank vault. You'd do well to get one if that's your fancy.
That's a great looking Sp101. It's on my very short list of wheelguns I'd like to own. The price of that particular model seems to have kept me away for a good while. Seems like a great size for practical carry, though. Not to mention woods duty.
Sp 101's are great, this is my BUG and frequently serves as my primary. You can feed em caviar or trash and they digest it all nicely. I might add they like a little heartburn with flame coming out the mouth
I carried an sp 2.5" for a couple of years....great gun,and well worth the money.I now carry a s/w 642 just because it's lighter..and have since sold the sp to a friend(which sometimes I regret.)The good thing about the sp is it can handle full house 357's and not kill you in the process.
