being a dumb hollywood person that "thinks guns are bad" is one thing, and I forgive otherwise decent actors and actresses for that one. Actively lending your voice to the disarmament of a country is another thing:

If you get impatient skip to minute 4:31

Suprisingly the show picks a pretty sympathetic character as the face of guns... everyone should watch the competitive shooter at 6:43...

He sees himself as a member of the ruling elite...

Keeping the peons unarmed is helpful for maintaining the upper crust...

The Brits have quite a history of that, with a little blip along the way that set the stage for our own Bill of Rights.

Then, the Commies/Socialists took over there and things were set right...

Southpaw Shooter - " He's getting old. Probably his mind is going. This particular actor has been somewhat unsatisfactory for some time."

Yep!!

Who cares what S.C. does. He's just an actor who lended his voice to a local campaign from his home country......

Just the ticket. A woman beating, upper crust, misguided, senile old fart expousing gun bans. Oh, I forgot, he's also a thief. Never did get to keep that sub he stole though.

Since Connery had a judge recently enjoin him from further filings on penality of contempt procedures, I'd say his anti-gun stance is sour grapes.....

Hell, he's a actor - speaking lines other, better minds have created - not a scholar. >MW

personally it really ticks me off:fire::cuss:. if somebody wants to be anti gun theirselves then thats a personal choice. dumb, but its their problem. what gets me is when big name actors xuch as sean connery, kevin costner, and others have no moral qualm with making tons of money off of movies where their character uses guns, but then turns around and says they are anti. very hypocritical.:fire:

I don't want to hijack this thread, but did you notice that almost all anti-gun video's (I was just browsing youtube when I noticed this) have the "comment" function disabled:cuss: I wonder why that is:rolleyes:

"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms .... disarm only
those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.
Such laws make things worse for the assaulted
and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourage
than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be
attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

I very much like Connery the actor. I can keep the politics separated from that as long as I'm watching a movie. Once the movie ends, and his character fades to black...he's just another anti who is probably hoping for a photo-op while espousing leftist political ideology on our country...and usually from a distance. That places Connery the man beneath contempt, and I have no use for him whatsoever.

To you, Mr Connery:

This is America. Who the hell do you think you are?

To my knowledge, Connery has never pushed gun control in the United States. The campaign in the OP was for Great Britain. If they want to pursue a gun-ban agenda, that's their business. Just as long as they don't push that nonsense over here, I couldn't care less.
