This is what comes of playing with an enlarger lens on a Zork tilt adapter.

Whoops!!!! totally missed that one!! of course. Now I see it.

Wow. what a combo Oleg. That is one nice gun and one nice holster.

The grips are magnificent as well!!!

Wow, Oleg - very chic setup you have there.

I love the singular appearance of stingray hide. As it happens, I myself have been waiting close to 2 years for a full-coverage stingray holster from a major custom maker. When (if ever) it gets here I'm going to have to learn about this photo uploading business and let you see it.

A little off topic, but what are those grips that you have on the Rohrbaugh? I can barely discern some kind of floral? motif on them. Rather unusual-looking.

Owen, that's the burled grain of the wood. Looks like maple, but there are a few other types of wood that look the same.

So Oleg, is it that lens that makes the gun appear to be floating or is it actually propped up on something?

Owen:

The grips are made from Box Elder Burl. In addition to making the holster for the Rohrbaugh, we're the ones who made the grips. It's the first time anyone has been able to make wood grips (and they function/perform) for the Rohrbaugh.

Oleg has taken some exceptionally awesome pictures for us. We have some more items being sent to him for more pics - custom holsters, gun belts, custom knives, and our new shotgun lock box.

ErikF:

It's a new service that we're offering. We currently can do the Rohrbaugh grips, 1911 grips, and have a few others coming online soon. Here's a sample of some other styles of material that we offer:

That's what I refer to/call denim micarta. Available in a wide variety of colors. Oleg will be getting a set of these to take some high quality pics of for us.

Here's a set of exotic skin (lizard) that we also offer:

We're finishing up a set of stingray grips that are going on a Caspian. We should have those done later this week, and I'll post pics.

We also have another set of "unusual" material grips that are currently being made. I hope to have those finished up this week as well. To the best of my knowledge, we are the only ones offering grips in the material these are being made from. Will post pics once we get those finished as well. I think most will be mildly surprised at what it is and how it functions. ;)
