A good friend I work with is in need of come quick cash and asked me if I would be interested in a Colt Revolver he has. I've had a hard time finding info about this one on the internet, so I would love as much advice as possible. He says it is a Colt Trooper .357.
It says "Trooper .357" on the barrel, and under that it says ".357 Magnum CTG."
Also, the serial number is 785XX, which I think means it was made in 1968 or 1969 from one site I found, but I would definitely like to know if anyone knows about this for sure.
It has a 6" barrel and black colt grips. He told me he's had it for 15 years and that he bought it from a cop who seemed to have taken good care of it. I haven't seen it yet in person (I will see it tomorrow morning in person), but he says it's in superb condition with only slight wear in the bluing up near the muzzle.
Here is a low quality picture he sent me using his cell-phone, but it's the best I have at the moment for you guys to see what it is:
He is asking $200, which seems like a steal for a Colt in excellent condition. Any advice here would be great. Also, what should a Colt like this be worth for cash or trade-in value?
