I was bored one evening and went for a walk around the local Great Wal-of-China-Mart. I was browsing through the hunting stuff, when I spotted a gentleman looking through the hunting things too.

I asked this gentleman if he hunts, and he said he did some, but not so much anymore. I asked if he had heard that Barack Obama wanted to put a 500% tax on ammunition, to which he said, "Well, you know, everything's going up..."
I told him I wouldn't vote for that, and walked away before I exploded into a political, white hot frenzy!:fire:

I cannot believe that people are so out of touch with what is happening to FREEDOM!

My two cents, feel free to throw yours in.

Get used to it. Ignorance is bliss and this country is as happy as its ever been.

Think about it, you have more people voting for American Idol than most elections. You have entertainment hour shows on NEWS channels. You have an agenda driven liberal media, and you have people that don't care that they are ignorant, they just want what they want, right now.

Fun little society we are a part of, isn't it. :banghead:

Get your facts straight. Obama has not proposed a 500% tax on ammunition.

No, he has just supported most anything anti-gun.

Then it shouldn't be necessary to repeat false information gleaned uncritically from the internet to make that point.

You can't even shop in peace now. You started the conversation with someone minding their own business. You didn't like their answer to your question so you make an abrupt statement and walk away. If you ask a question then be prepared for whatever the returning answer may be.

Barack Obama can't and Congress won't. This belongs in APS, but like most material from the McCain/Palin bunch it is made up out of whole cloth.

Its pretty obvious that anyone who has Ray Schoenke of the AHSA doing approved radio ads telling us how great of a friend he is to us hunters and shooters, really does not have our best interests in mind.

And I got

Not everyone cares to discuss politics in the sporting goods isle at Wal-Mart. In polite society, one generally does not demand others to wish to engage in debate with strangers.

So Vote for Obama because of what he can't do?

A U.S. President harbors more power than an American Citizen can comprehend. True, he or she must garner approval from the Senate, but what if that Senate were a major of Democrats? People should not be unarmed cattle governed by a dictatorship. Taxation would become whatever the government deemed appropriate. We, American Cattle would have no say. Nicaragua would be the model for the "new" U.S.A. Americans are currently fighting for freedom. TESTING our Second Amendment was a travesty of our very freedom as American Citizens. I didn't like that. Voting Republican shall display our strength of resoluteness. I'm not ready to become a Communist and/or Socialist or both combined. cliffy

It's called being human, which includes short term memories which is why we fight wars all the time and still listen to politicians promise us the world. I had a similar thing happen to me with an older gent and regretted immediately my attack in him, my excuse was I needed a meal as I become hypoglecemic sometimes. Best to walk away.
