I think that's a good point about what your kids will have to deal with, if you have kids. I imagine Chicago is similar in many respects to mose major cities, in that there's great areas, and areas you DON'T want to get near.

I work in downtown Denver, and while there's lowlifes on the streets and bad areas, I think it's pretty safe for the most part. Of course, I can pack additional safety with me anywhere I go.

Yup Daley sucks. Yup the gun laws suck. Yup the traffic laws suck.

Btw, if you think the steak is great, try just about any other type of food here and I'm sure it blows away anything within a 500 mile radius of where you're at in podunk NC.

Slime pit, ha! NC is one of the many armpits of the inbred south(many armpits came from all the inbreeding).

You were doing fine until you got to the inbred part. For the record, I was born in Pennsylvania. Inbred there too? This make's me want to vomit.

This one's about done.

Shame a reasonable question could not receive a reasonable answer here.......... And people wonder why we closed down the political forum?

PMs sent.

Been to Chi-Town and loved it. Chicago, like any other major city has beauty and ugly existing within walking distance.

Hate the politics and the anti-gun stance, but that's only one aspect of Chicago...and NYC, et al. NY is another place that I love to visit, but wouldn't want to live...and not just because of the draconian gun laws. Those cities much too "busy" for country boy like me to deal with on a daily basis...but to go and see'em and have the experience is worthwhile...even with the hassles of negotiating traffic and avoiding the risky areas.

PS:

Sorry that I stepped on your lock, XB...but I felt compelled to respond.
