Including pictures in your posts is easy, once you know how. All it requires are a few basic computer skills, and you, too, can post pictures just as well as those other BXXXXXds can!
First step, we start with the picture. For posting purposes (according to Forum Guidelines), it should be no more than 640 pixels wide, and, if it's a JPEG, no more than 244kb in file size. Other file types vary; the Attachment Manager lists the limits. Most printers come with an image editing program, and there are lots of free image editors you can download off the 'Net. It's pretty simple to reduce your pictures down to the suggested size.
Next, the picture must be uploaded to the 'Net. While there is a feature on the THR Attachment Manager to upload files directly from your computer to the THR website, it tends to load up the server (and slow down the site), so we'll upload our pictures off-site. There are quite a few image hosting sites such as Photobucket or Picture Trail that will store photos for free. Once we have uploaded our pictures, each one will be given a URL, or Web Address. This is what we will need to post a photo to a thread. Some sites will allow you to click a button to add a picture's URL to the clipboard on your computer, on others you will have to navigate to each individual picture and copy the Web Address manually. Either way, once you have the URL, it's a good idea to paste it into a text file so that, should something happen, you won't have to go back to the host site to retrieve the lost address.
In my particular case, I upload my photos to my ISP's server. Most ISPs set aside space on their server so that their clients may create a website, upload photos, etc. I have 50MB available to me for my own private use, and I store my pictures there. If I want to post a pic, I navigate to my website and copy the address directly from the address bar:
Hope this helps...
