Old - December, 1943 Springfield and Colt WWI Repro.

the new - LWRC 6.8 SPC with 14.7 barrel w/pinned fh, Trijicon ACOG TA31RCO w/LaRue QD mount, Troy BUIS, Viking Tactical sling, awaiting my LaRue FUG, nighthawk custom .45, strider MTS. I'm pumped - first AR since my time with an M16A1 a long time ago w/uncle sam.

All beautiful weapons man, congrats. We'll need a range report, obviously.

Although, I'm not sure I understand the ACOG.

Roadwild17 - It's an M6A2 - 14.7 PA in 6.8 SPC - they come standard with VLTOR stock BUIS, etc. - only mods were ACOG and sling. It was just north of 2500 from Knesek Guns - Northwest Tactical stocks them as well. And, out with the old just means they are a little further back in the safe than they were. I would never get rid of the M1 - that ping still makes me smile!

Am finally getting to the range this Friday - have some 115gr otm from SSA - ammo is a bit hard to find. Unfortunately can only get to 100 yds so we will see. I'll post a range report Monday.

The ACOG with the LaRue mount is a set up that can't be beat. I love mine, I've taken it off and put it back on so many times and it stills shoots exactly where it was zeroed.

That's good to hear - I've got to zero the buis while I'm at it so I can test the return as well. I was very impressed with LaRue's customer service as well - a great group to deal with. I also see LaRue is marketing their own AR now - hmmmmm - can someone have only 1 black rifle?

LaRue impressed the socks off me with their service. I ordered my ACOG mount directly from them and they shipped a bunch of unexpected goodies, tactical armadillo bottle opener and steak rub for barbequeing, as well as bumper stickers, catalogs, and a hat. They will DEFINATELY be getting my business again.

No way - got her from the CMP a couple years back - lock bar sights, uncut oprod and a WWII veteran. Besides I need something to keep the M1 carbine company - gotta love CMP.
