Stoegar Cougar Pistols

From what I have heard is basically yes. Beretta built a factory in Turkey for Stoegar. This is what Ive heard so I dont know how true it is.

But I did own one a few years ago and it was a very nice, accurate and reliable pistol.

From what I know, Beretta wanted to keep making the Cougar so since they own Stoeger and it is some how less expensive to maufacture firearms there, they moved all the equipment to Turkey and built the same pistol under a different rollmark, for alot less!!

Great pistol for the price!... Basically identical to the Beretta.
Hard to find... if you get a chance, hold one/shoot one... great value for under $400 NIB... you'll be very pleased/surprised!

Cougar L, the best looking, most aesthetically and proportionally correct Cougar model, and Beretta/Stoeger chose not to build it...

I have had mine for around two years and have over 1000 rounds through it. Only failures I had were with cheap after market rounds, and even then only 3 or 4 total stoppages. Accurate, affordable, attractive, fun to shoot.

I have some Hogue grips on mine.

Here in deep south Texas at the Academy stores the Cougar's in 9mmP and 40S&W are still available at $399. I have both of these and am very happy with their performance. The accuracy and handling is almost identical to my CZ P-01's.

I've had one for a few years in 9mm. I love it. It used to be my main carry gun but got replaced by my XD .45 compact. I still like the cougar and still shoot it when I get the chance. Never had any sort of problem with it. The only real problem is finding good accessories for it like holsters.

I love mine, been totally reliable. AFAIK all parts interchangeable since they are the same gun, only different rollmark and money left in your pocket. I really like mine, I think its are great carry gun.

SA trigger pull

I bought one of these in 40 S&W about 3 months ago, shot it for the first time this afternoon. Good gun, shot 100 flawless round but the trigger pull in single action is to much for me. I don't like the 1/2-3/4" or so of creep before it breaks. Does this bother anyone else?
