Owner of A.R.M.S. donates to anti-gun candidate, Martha Coakley

It appears that Richard Swan and his wife Sharon have donated to the Senate campaign of Martha Coakley, the MA Attorney General. Ms. Coakley is very, very anti-gun. She continues to enforce vaguely worded "consumer protection" regulations that greatly limit the number of new handguns available in MA. She also threatens mail order companies with lawsuits if they ship ammunition and components to MA residents, even if the MA residents are properly licensed according to MA laws.

I have never been a particular fan of A.R.M.S. products, but this is the last straw for me.

It makes me think that he's nothing more than an opportunist, and not a gun person. He's made his millions. I would guess he inherited the business and deep down he's a bleeding heart liberal. Let's resolve to blacklist the bum.

And the worst part? the ARMS SIR was used on the MW2 M4...so mall ninjas everywhere are probably saving up for it for their M4gerys.
 
I Goggled Dick Swan and learned that he's not a young man, as I expected, but a older man and a former Colt employee. Why he's supporting a liberal's campaign doesn't make any sense given the nature of his business. Maybe his kids, or family, need to have him committed.
 
I don't own any A R M S anymore.. mark larue GAVE me Larue replacement when I sent my broken ARMS in.. (broken ON PURPOSE of course) .. check arfcom for more info !
 
to me his political view are irrelevant, i don't care if he's a libral, i care that he doanted to an anti gun candidate. I'm about as libral as you can get, but it doesn't mean i voted for barrack obama.

My guess is that he is expecting Coakley to win (which she probably will) and he wants access to her to help him win DOD contracts.

It's bad enough that his stuff is junk. Add in the fact that he is an unsavory character and that he gives money to antigun causes...well, the choice should be obvious: Anybody but A.R.M.S.!

I agree completely. Unfortunately, I believe he has won DOD contracts in the past.
 
Preface by saying I know nothing about this man or his company, but he sounds like he is cut from the same cloth as most of our politicians. Taking advantage of the opportunity instead of the people.

The guy who runs ARMS is a classless, uninnovative jackass who churns out sub-par products and files spuious junk lawsuits against his competitors due to an inability to compete.

I would unilaterally recommend against ever buying a product from such bottom-dwelling slime. ARMS does absolutely nothing to support the shooting culture, and in fact actively works to undermine it through their shoddy products and unneccesary litigation.
