Some may remember that a lady friend of mine had her induction into Firearms not too long ago with shooting my Lyman Trade Rifle .50cal & my Pietta NMA w/ 5.5" barrel .44cal & have been interested in getting her own.

Well here ya go my friends, I posted this in another forum so I just copied & pasted the Text to here.

OK Boys-n-Girls Nana has finally gotten her very own firearm.

A Navy Arms 1858 NewModel Navy .36 caliber C&B revolver, a sweet piece if I do say so my self. "actually historically it'd be a 1862 New Model Navy."

Being it's a Navy Arms it's a used revolver that was in need of some serious cleaning & TLC so she let me take it to make her new again & it did take a little time but in the end she is almost as perfect as when she was new in 1965, yes you heard that right this particular piece was manufactured in 1965 which could very well be one of the first of this model to be produced ever since the first C&B Revolvers reproduced were in 1958-9, shoot even my Lil Cannon was manufactured in 1984.

Told her that the only thing that I'd do if it were mine were to change out the cones to some made by Tresso, & maybe change out the main spring to a little lighter one & smooth it up a little.

Here are a few photos of it along with my Lil Cannon "Pietta Copy of a Remington New Model Army .44 caliber Customized by me in 1990" by comparrison.

Notice who has the bigger chambers.

After it was cleaned, notice the slightly smaller Navy frame to my Army frame

And now a picture of her shooting my Lil cannon back in October.
