Loose fitting vests...

Thanks, but I think you skipped over my original post:
Not the cheesy photographer or "ccw" vests, but simple over vests. Not puffy, or fleece, or heavy.

Just wanting something I can throw on as a cover garment.

I gave up on the vest idea early on. I came around to wearing long or short sleeve, medium weight, one-size-larger, button-up shirts. I get them in uneven striped or uneven plaid patterns. I prefer the plaid, as they are more interesting and the patterns & colors can conceal better. The color schemes blend well with anything I wear and tend to obscure contours and shadows created by any occasional bulges I may exhibit.

Best of all, these can be worn any time of year, and with almost any attire. I can look dress-casual, funloving, outdoorsy, whatever the occasion calls for. This is an inexpensive way to maintain a wide variety of appearances, high level of comfort, adaptability, and total concealment. I can wear a light jacket over them, or a heavy one, or a fleece. I can unbutton them or, more often, leave them buttoned and still effortlessly jerk my steel in short order. The mid-weight cotton shirts have the perfect amount of stiffness to conceal and be predictably easy for my gun hand to sweep through in a circular pattern. These shirts can get pretty lightweight and still have that nice crispness that works so well.

Here's some examples:

Good luck.

I wear one of these.... Sometimes people *THINK* they see a gun, but the outfit causes a considerable amount of confusion and usually they just look away.

In a SD situation, it is very tactical and most encounters are quickly de-escalated. I am pretty sure the navy seals wear these.

I use a very light weight Cabela's Safari brand vest. Very comfortable with lots of pockets and works well for concealing a shoulder holster while giving easy access. What I didn't like (and this was my own fault) was that I bought it from the bargain cave but realized when I got home and looked at my purchases on the ticket I was charged the full $50.00. It wouldn't be practical to drive the distance to take it back. That's what I get for talking guns & ammo with another customer while in the checkout line.

Vest...
'Knife pocket' carpenters jeans...

Yup, he's carrying concealed.
Might as well put on a uniform or wear a CCW T-shirt.

I think of Michael Baine from BEST DEFENSE Television.

Either way, its probably a really good idea, but I can't do it.
I'd screw it up and end up looking like McLovin'

Tried loading bullfrogskin.com and all get is croaking and picture of Ken, cannot go any further. Anyone have any ideas about this website.

Some of ya'll are retards. I'm not naming names.
Pronounced "ree-****", not "rih-****." "Ree-****."

You should check out some of the synthetic fill light/med weight vests made for backpackers. This Mountain Hardwear piece is what I wear in cool weather when I don't need a coat, but it's too cool for short sleeves alone. Not bulky or puffy, cut long in back, and folds up small if you need to stow it.

Yes, I'm pretty bad about maintaining the website. I'm not terribly computer saavy, and when the site had a problem last year I didn't load every page back up.

I don't get a huge amount of business off of it. If anyone has any specific questions, just send me an e-mail or give me a call. I'll try to find some time this week to load all the pages back up.

I just recently started using a Woolrich Railroad Vest and it is the best concealment vest ever not designed to be one!

They are relatively trim, not tactical or too woodsy looking. They are made with a slightly longer back and in several colors. Constructed of a wool blend they are machine washable and add about the same warmth as a sweater vest but the tight (not knitted) construction prevents printing or snagging.

I use it with a 3" 1911 in a VM2. works with Khakis, Office casual from fall through spring. I Have found them at outlet stores for about $35 when all discounts and coupons are applied.

Order one size up these run small.
