ive heard of someone manufacturing a 500 round magazine for the ruger 10/22 only known as "The Brick"

has anyone seen one know when they are available or whos makeing these?

or is this one of those internet jokes for noobs that dont know any better?

kinda like the old go get me a yellow sky hook routine

there's a 50 round rotary magazine for the 10/22 which has the highest capacity that i know of. maybe whoever told you this was mistaken with the term "brick" being used for a 500-count box of cartridges?

tmm

Yeah I've also heard this rumor but never have found any evidence of it. I think it would be fun to have a 500 round magazine but I'm not sure if we will ever see it or not.

not more than mine lol i have the bull barrel with a good pound of lead in the buttstock for balance the brick wouldnt even be felt at that point lol

idk i just keep hearing rumours and start thinking this is an internet joke targeting the new guys

Have seem "Brick" as in Reminton 500 round Brick, Hollow Point ammo but not a 500 round magazine. Could be but I`ve never seem/heard of any. :)

Sounds like an interesting engineering nightmare...I have never seen one. Maybe it's a black project.

My thumbs and index fingers hurt enough from loading the old butler creek 30 round magazines during a range trip. I can only imagine the nightmare of loading one that's 500 rounds .

it would have to have some kind of removable backplate where you can just dump rounds in/out and then crank up spring tension. I'd go insane around 200 rounds. is there a select fire .22 that takes 10/22 mags? This could be awesome.

Used to be on their site, but it appears to be axed. After owning a POS 50rnd drum for the 10/22 the absolute last thing that I'd want is a 500rnd mag.

:)

yea i think the name comes from the idea that a "brick" of 500 (brand of choice) ammo will fit in it

there used to be select fire 10/22s (well at least auto trigger packs pre 86)

as for loading doesnt anyone use a BC magazine loader? they save me time when im loading my tactical inc 25 rounders (btw the only high cap mag ive found thats 100% reliable)

id still be interested in a "brick" mag just for SnGs but hadnt heard anything in a while
