What about Mexico?

Don't even think about taking a gun with you to Mexico. I'm travelling to Mexico in 2 days, and leaving my guns locked up at home. I've never had a problem anywhere in Mexico, although the border towns are definitely more dangerous these days.

Police corruption in Mexico? Sure, I suppose people driving there might have to deal with it, but what about all the speedtraps in crooked small towns right here in the US?

Our fed agents can go to Mexico armed on approval of the Mexican govt when working down there. They can't just go down there 'off duty' and carry if they are say stationed in San Diego and want to party across the border. There is a big difference. I can assure you our DEA, FBI, DSS agents are not unarmed when sent down to Mexico for work.
