OK, I now have a Marquart neck turning tool with pilots for 22 caliber, 24 caliber, and 25 caliber. Does anyone know where I can get additional pilots for 7mm caliber and 30 caliber? Or does anyone know what manufacturer replaced Marquart? Thanks up front for any answers!:)

No problem, checking the shank on my Marquart pilots, they measure .342". The shank on my K&M pilots measure .3415", meaning they are essentially interchangeable and easy to get. If you can afford the difference in price, I recommend buying the carbide pilots, especially if you do a lot of turning with a power drive. Marquart was a one man operation and noone took over his small operation after his death. His neck turning tools, like all his other work, were top quality.

Thanks for the reply. I had gotten to the same answer by email to Precision Reloading and sending some measurements back and forth. I'm going to order two K&M pilots in 7mm and 30 calibers. I'll repost how they work when I get them.

:)

K&M builds quality tools. Ditto on the carbide. I like the flutes; donuts are a thing of the past.
