Where is all the Hi Point porn? I thought everybody would be shinning those beauties up like they were going to the Easter Parade.

Oh, that firing pin block, it got superglued early on

Did the same on my HP-22. Otherwise, pretty decent little plinkers for $100 NIB.

My only other pot metal gun is some west german made SA .22 Revolver, and i'll not risk my camera lens snapping a picture. It was given to me in 2000, I've probably shot 4 or 5 cylinders through it since, it just sits in the basement. I'd sell it, but I doubt I could even fill my motorcycle's 4.3 gallon tank with the proceeds.

Heres My crap pieces, although they all work fine they are not of the highest quality.

I like my pot metal guns... Funnest guns I own!

The best part is how well the cylinders index.

There's "Can't hit the broad side of a barn from inside" inaccuracy, and then there's "Didn't even get the chance to try at the side of the barn due to missing the barrel on the way out of the cylinder" inaccuracy.

Maybe the same idea, but technically those guns are not made out of "pot metal", but of some kind of alloy, usually a zinc or aluminum alloy. The material correctly called "pot metal" is cheap cast iron; it got the name because it is the same kind of low quality, brittle iron from which the old style round "marmite" cook pots are made. It is characterized by easy casting and easy machining, but is of low tensile strength and very brittle, with no "give" under strain. Pot metal cylinders, barrels or frames just break like pottery when the low tensile strength is exceeded.

Roehm in 45LC?

eeeeeek.
Nah, you should be able to feed it all day long using cowboy loads. Now if you want something to raise the pucker factor: Those came in .44 magnum as well

Any body ever heard of a burgo 8 shot DA revolver in in 22L? I hear it's a cheap German brand from the 1960's. When I heard this I was shocked thinking Germany meant quality, any way it was given to me 8 years or so ago and have shot a couple of hundred rounds out of it no problems.

My awsome Burgo!

8 shots of 22Lr and pretty accurate. Its part of my survival plan kit! Pretty cool thread, I,m not ashamed anymore.

Yesterday I took my Raven 25 out to the range and in my semi-annual ritual fired the ready rounds in the two magazines to check function. All fired and functioned. Reloaded the mags with fresh ammunition. It may be pot metal, I may not have the confidence to carry a striker-fired handgun with a round in the firing chamber, but it is small, rustproof and is sometimes the only defensive weapon available.

I have a ton of ZAMAK guns (and a lot of others also). Here are a few of them;

EEEeeGAD, an engraved Jennings?
It is the "Floral slide" mounted on a Calwestco J-22 frame. The stripped slides were available from Numrich until last year, when J-22 enthusiasts bought up the few pieces remaining in stock. These were made for the early sliding safety model J-22's.

I almost forgot to mention....here are two of my personal favorite ZAMAK framed guns that I own.
The Henry H001 lever action .22LR and the Henry H004 Goldenboy lever action .22LR.
