Does the idea of shooting glasses with hearing protection combined appeal to you guys. I had some ideas along the lines of something that would allow a one piece unit "with much more to it" but less to carry or forget at home. This is just a vague description, although looking at patents, there have been similar devices as far back as the early 1900's. So it's not a "new idea". But I have some interesting variations in mind if there was a niche.

I've forgotten one sometimes, the other other times. If I could remember the one item it would be better. Some kind of cool Space Ranger thing, racy and all business at the same time. Why not?

Possiblly with a jack for a cell phone, for when you are shooting and miss a call because you can't hear the phone or can't answer it without removing stuff. Just something that you can plug in as an option, and possiblly 3 different color lenses that pop out, amber green or polorized and clear, all in a nice slim package like the size of a regular eyeglass case with some velcro slots on the side for spare lenses. I just got the bug to make something that covers everything and is still small enough to throw in a small shooting bag or the GC of your truck or car. It could be either chorded or a little telescoping flex type rod that just snaps on the side of the frame. This way they are also sunglasses, just endless possibilities, and I always forget the ears. Usually I have a pair of glasses in all my bags but those darn ears.

Is this what you're looking for? ;)

I use this setup for all of my shooting needs. Tough to get a good cheek weld but I'm safe as all getout! It has a built-in hydration system for drinking or a head-shower and a cooling fan for when you get one of those "not-so-fresh-feeling" days. I didn't opt for the dual rear-view mirrors because I really don't care if someone is waiting in line behind me to shoot; "I paid my 2 bits and damned if I won't shoot my full alloted time." :neener:

I am certain I've seen pictures c. the early 1990s of glasses incorporated into ear muffs. I don't see them now; I wonder why? ;) One problem I can see right away is adjusting the glasses so they sit close enough to an individual's face and forehead. Gaps here can trap hot ejected cases between your glasses and forehead or cheekbone. :uhoh:

You won't be able to fit the hearing protection properly so they would be worse than useless.

Ramman, has a link which pretty much kills my idea,Thanks for giving me that link, it saves a lot of time. other than for guys that are hunting or in an enviornment where they must keep the ears protection on all the time. The cell phone addition might be handy, if someone is trying to reach you while you are out in the field. Instead of carrying another device. And the ability to change from clear amber or polorized lenses for different situations, "indoor and out". It's funny when you start doing patent searches, you find that there was always a guy who thought of something before you did, lol
