I have but since the initial report all I get is spam on upgrading my account. 12/30 & 12/31 = 6 emails to upgrade account with "special offers"

It's junk AFAIC. Never seen such spam from a "newsletter" sign-up. The quantity is mind-boggling.

I had to unsubscribe after a few weeks. They send a lot of spam trying to sell membership. The free newsletter isn't worth the clutter.

It started well for me, too, and was interesting to read. However, as others have noted, the gun chat stops and is replaced by only offers to upgrade to a "paid" subscription, the value of which I cannot determine.

I tried it as well. I got spammed, so I canned it.

It's a shame because from what I've heard their magazine is actually a very good publication. Kathy Jackson (pax, corneredcat.com) is the managing editor of the print magazine. They sponsor the Armed American Radio with Mark Walters, and the USCCA is pushing hard for constitutional carry in WI (they are based there, or at least the founder lives there).

But, the initial subscription/free newsletter process is just so reminiscent of an infomercial site trying to hook people on a Viagra subscription that I think it does them so much harm. Their hearts are in the right place, and I know they have to make money which is okay in my book, but that first impression really has left a bad taste in my mouth. I was really considering a full membership for one year to get to try out their gear (they have a gear sharing program apparently). Maybe I'll try it after all.
