There is a good wildcat based on the 300 savage cartridge. Savage also made the 99 in 308, the 270/308 has had good things written of it.
Using a 99 Unless it is on the box mag model, if you do not match the shell to the rotary mag, the cost of modifying the rotor can be as much or more then what it will cost for the barrel and chambering.
