Ruger Mark III Hunter
Millett SP-1 Red Dot

How does she shoot? I haven't thought about putting a scope on my buckmark, but that could be interesting for plinking outside of 50 yards.

A buddy of mine has a buckmark target pistol with a 7.25in. bbl and I found it unweildy with a scope added (was a 4x EER IIRC). I did just as well, perhaps a little better, with the adjustable sights, then again I'm not an outstanding shot with a pistol either.

:)

I have a BSA Red Dot on my Buckmark Camper. It's a great help with 68 year old eyes in two handed shooting but for Bullseye Practice at the club which is a one handed affair it's better sighting quality is somewhat cancelled out for me due to the added weight. My Buckmark has the fiber optic front sight which works well for that kind of use, the lighter weight gives me more time on target before the wobbles get worse.

I just got the M1A a week or so ago. That is my collection of Springfield's, XD in .40 , Loaded 1911, and the 18" M1A.

I have the similar SA love, instead of the 40 I have XDm 45.

Just finished the conversion. I'm not sure which forend I'm going with yet. Now I just need mags, optic, and sling.

Monkey King, may I suggest you keep that front end?

Unless you want rails, it really is more comfortable than most AK-style foreends. For my conversion, I just threw it on my mill and put some cooling slots in it, called it good to go.

Plus, IMO it's the most attractive one out there. Looks 'aggressive' without invoking the 'OMG evil gun' silhouette.

Tikka T3 Hunter 7mm-08
Burris Euro Diamond 1.5-6 x 40 with Burris Tactical Rings

Here's some after pics of it after I refinished the stock with Tru Oil. I hated the factory finish as is looked like a overly done stain finish, which hid the beautiful fiddleback pattern in the wood

I agree, the stock Saiga carbine forearm is a good one (the scattergun version, not so much)...just as good as most aftermarket options IMO. If you must change it, the Tapco Intrafuse is a decent one, and isn't overly costly.

:)

Yeah I think I will keep the forend stock at least for now. I would like to paint it to match the rest of the furniture. Any suggestions? I've never painted plastic before.
Krylon makes a special paint for plastics called Fusion. It works well enough for everyday items, but I don't know how well it would hold up on rifle furniture. For a more durable, color-fast finish RIT dye (clothing dye) should work reasonably well, but requires a great deal more work than a rattle-can (still not horribly difficult).

M&P40c, about 2 hours ago.

This has got to be the last firearms I buy for a while. I know I've said that about a dozen times over the past year, but seriously this is getting absurd.

The last thing I bought was an impulse buy at the local pawn shop, a Rossi model 25 2" .22 7-shot revolver from the late '60s. I wanted to have a small, unintimidating .22 revolver for my wife to start learning to shoot. Paid 80 bucks out the door. I tested it at the range yesterday, it worked ok but was all over the place accuracy-wise. I was shooting some unjacketed bulk ammo that has been in my closet for years, so next time I'll try it out with better ammo.

Marlin 795

Couldn't pass it up for, what, $114 with the rebate?

RIA 1911A1 FS G.I. Government, added VZ G10 Black Cherry Double Diamonds and stainless grip screws, had it throated and feed ramp polished for hollow points and added white 3 dot sights.this is my EDC.

Just bought a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 . . . it was on sale for $99 at Cabela's, and since I didn't have any Russian guns, I just couldn't resist going through the rack and taking the best one home.
