i need some help to find out about this gun..it's a 16ga.single shot no serial no. just springfield j.stevens arms on one side.94-a central arms,st.louis on the other side..
It is a Stevens Model 94 made before 1968, When before 1968, Don't know, their Double barrels have a date code for after 1949, their single barrels??Value for a 16 gauge single barrel 94, only 50 to 75 dollars, depending on condition. The Stevens 94 was a very good utilitarian shotgun that gave good value for the money, but they were never over priced even when new.
The St. Louis name is probably that of a hardware or sporting goods store or distributor. It may have been put on at the factory or added later. At one time, some gun makers would put on any name the customer wanted, even on an order involving as few as a dozen guns.
I know nothing about your shotgun other than if it is anything like my 12 gauge NAF, it is rather boring after a few shots. You may have heard of shotgun adapters, if not, they are great. There are different makers of shotgun adapters, of two places I have bought from, I like these the best. http://www.gunadapters.com/categories/Shotgun-Adapters/16-gauge-/
