And we're supposed to elect anybody that sounds like that, and have to listen to them for 4 years? I don't think so.

What a friggin' psycho.

Wes

The rage ballon that had floated Dean to the top is all out of hot air.

Buh bye. :)

You here that George Bush! I'm coming for you! In the steel cage! And Karl Rove isn't gonna be able to tap you out this time! *insert Dean muppet scream*

Geez, who wrote that diatribe, Bobby the Brain Heenan?

Funny. I said the same thing during the 2000 election cycle.…

Better than listening to "Dumbass" for another 4 years.

A little help. I don't get the reference.

Simple. It's a derogatory reference to Bush, by those who bought into the idea that he's a moron. The fact that this is a view disproven time and again by those who know and work with Bush is irrelevant, as hatred outweights thought.

Thanks guys, of course that's what I think it means too. It's just that if someone is thick enough to actually think that the president is a "dumbass" I think they should say so plainly.

Yep. Bush's "simple ole boy" persona is an act that's tricked many opponents into underestimating him -- but it keeps working. He's stupid like a fox.

I suspect that the Democrats would do better if they didn't constantly under-estimate W. by calling him a "dumbass" and so forth. After all, he has been beating Democrats like a drum at least since since he spanked Ann Richards in 1994 and became Governor of Texas. What is that, a DECADE of beatings the Democrats have taken from him, yet they persist in calling him stupid?

Bush is only a dumbass to some people untill the discussion turns to Iraq. Then he's a dark genius, pulling strings to manipulate nations and armies with deft skill.

Bush seems able to drive the Democrats to the point of being completely unhinged.

Imagine a Dean ticket with Hillary as VP.

Yikes.

Give him a toothbrush mustache, a little more spittle and he'd look like Hitler at Nuremburg

Hitler spent endless hours in front of full length mirrors practicing his gestures and oratory in order to be able to carry off his polemics so successfully.

Dean has a lot of practice to get in if he's going to be another Hitler.

What to remember about Bush is that he ain't stoopid... One doesn't get advanced degrees, military flight training (of any sort), etc., just because one is the son of a politician...

Ask any southerner/westerner who routinely has to deal with stereotyping yankees... The "dumb hick" act can really work to one's advantage, until one hits the right moment to pull the trigger...

Ding! Ding! Ding! Bogie gets a cigar.

A local radio station has been playing that Dean speech all morning long... especially the scream. The scream is the interjection du jour.

He sounds like the guy who announces for the tractor pull.

Anyone have a link to the video? I haven't seen it yet and I hear it's even better. :)

I heard the entire speech on the local propaganda radio station (Minnesota Public Radio). I also watched the State of the Union Address. If I can narrow it down to one thing that annoys me about liberals is they never have any ideas of their own. Their only tactic is to attack the actions of the person theyr'e trying to defeat. When that isn't working, they just get more insane. I don't agree with everything W. talked about, but at least he's offering ideas. Even the rebuttal by the good Senator from South Dakota offered not one alternative idea. Depressing.

Yep, that's what's missing from the libs: a clear alternative. And simply "Not what the Administration is doing" is not a clear agenda. That's why they'll fail in November--only stupid idealogues will vote for whomever they nominate. Who's the "dumbass?"
