Hello All,
I'm looking for photos of paper targets after they've been shot.

Ideally they would be:
1. Common Paper Targets
2. All 4 corners of target included in photo
3. Reasonable number of holes (I need to be able to recognize the target ideally 10-20)
4. Same Caliber Bullet used for all holes

I've been scouring flickr and google but I'm finding surprisingly few photos.

If you have some up on the net please comment on this or send me a pm letting me know where to look. You can also email me photos: rangebook (at) gmail com or upload them by sending them to [email protected]

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I guess it's kind of a strange request.

I need more real world target photos to test and perfect some software that takes an image of a target identifies the hits and maps them out. Basically it's going to be an electronic dopebook / rangebook, but you'd snap a photo with your phone and a computer would crunch away to give you any stats you could want based on handload / temperature / and whatever else...

The part I need to perfect now is the software that is going to identify the hits. I'm not looking for peoples best groupings or anything (in fact 10 hits in a tiny bullseye isn't going to help much for my purposes), I'm just looking for common paper targets with bullet holes in them. The more samples I have the more accurate the software will eventually be. I have quite a few military targets, and my local indoor range makes you buy their targets and they only have a few to choose from so I'd like some more variety.

Nothing shady, I assure you.

This might give your software a challenge :D

28 9mm holes, at 10 yards.

Toivo, would I be correct in guessing that you shoot in the NYS Sporterifle league?

Yes, you would. You too?

That's my best-ever iron sights target. So far this season I can't seem to get out of the 80s in the iron sight class, but we're only two matches into it.
