I decided I would sell my Trailside which I have had since they came out.
I really liked the way it shot and the light weight, but I always had concerns about it's longevity, especially with HV .22 ammo. I found a local buyer and sold it Thursday last week.
In thinking about what to replace it with, I kept coming back to my first pistol, an old Ruger MK I. I bought it one summer in High School when laying concrete and money was good. I sold it when I left home to help raise funds.
Our local Scheels sporting goods store had all their Rugers on sale and I was able to walk in 4 hours after selling the trailside and pick up this Ruger MK III Hunter with the cash from the sale.
I'm taken by it's looks and hope it shoots as well as I expect it will. I'm going to try to get it out this week to zero it and maybe mount my Ultra-dot to it. Trigger pull is crisp but with more take up than I'd like. I understand there are some parts to help with this.
I've no doubt this will outlast me and shoot anything that fits in it. I'm hoping it will do it reasonably accurately as well.
