I OC at times, mostly while out in the woods away from people, at times between the woods and home I am in contact so I suppose in those cases I am somewhat vulnerable to a gun grab since my retention in the woods is a coiled lanyard not a built in system in my holster.
In public I CC but since it is not mandetory it is not an obsession or legal worry but when in a crowd I do use extra caution. When I loose a little more belly I may try appendix or cross draw but for the most part if it is not pocket carry I go with 3:00/4:00 strong side depending on OWB or IWB with a shirt or pull over. I have a shirt and belly band from the Glock Store but find both inconvienient with casual dress but with sweats they work fine.I really have no desire to OC on a day to day basis for all the reasons in the article but I know others feel different.

I've just got a bit more studying to finish and then I'll watch the series. I've got my history final exam tomorrow in the morning. I should be back to relax after 3 or so more hours. Then I'll give my thoughts on it. Thanks for posting, Lee.

No fair, they waited till December for Part III! :D

Thanks, Doc - I only tried through November.

Sorry for not getting all three, as I was viewing it all three segments were available by scrolling.
I know the OC discussion can go south quick but the author has some relevant points.

Sorry, Lee, I had to squint and hold my mouth right :)

If OC ever gets passed here in Texas, I will OC from time to time because I can and to be an ambassador, but on a selfish note, I'm anti-social, my clothes rarely fit and I have long hair, so I'd rather CC to avoid the human interaction I'd sometimes get. I can be more alone CCing, and I want to present gun owners in the best possible light. That said, I'm all for dudes with long hair, earrings and tattoos CCing to show responsible gun owners come from all walks of life, and don't judge a book by it's cover.

When I was a preacher, we had some full-on biker guys come by for church, and the greeters turned them away! Boy, we were mad. I think the more the public sees responsible gun owners the better, the fight is not for the pro people or the antis, it's for the masses who have no opinion on guns and who are bombarded with the media's constant programming.

But I prefer CC because I find it a bit more tactically sound, and because I want to be left alone.

I won't even OC a folder with a pocket clip. I'm pretty far to the side of the bell curve that values both surprise and discretion. That said, if someone else wants to, it's their life; just because I think it's a really bad idea doesn't mean we can't live and let live. I've typically started up a conversation whenever I've come across the rare OC'er, and we've always gotten along well enough, Imagine that.
