NFA Trust.....worth it?

The firearm trust lawyer in Florida will handle a trust for you. It will cost $600 but is well worth it. They will walk you through the NFA tranfer. Anyone with their name in the trust can handle the firearm and sell it or own it if you die. No one other than the ATF will know you own it. Local law enforcement is not involved. No signature required since a trust is an entity. You can continue to add NFA items to your trust. It should be a firearm trust only so other items you won are not invloved. Its the only way to go.

just sayin!

Just wanted to add about the executor and Probate- "reasonable amount of time" -my Lawyer said that means a "year"

I live in the SF bay area. Cold day in hell before any CLEO around here signs off on a AOW. Therefore I am in the process of getting a trust so I can buy a short 870

I would think a year would certainly be a reasonable time given the complexity of a decedent's estate and all that involves. BATF does not mention any specific time period, and I have known of one instance where they waited three years to start the transfer process. It took a couple of letters exchanged before the transfers were approved. Moral of this story: Don't drag your feet too much.
