I picked up AR500 plates from a group buy here and have shoot it with steel jacketed 30.06 and steel core 8mm Mauser and they don't scratch it at 100 yards. A guy did shoot one of my plates with a 300 RUM at 100 and that made a divot .25x.25 inches and .125in deep. It's some tough stuff
I was looking into steel target a few weeks ago and just couldn't understand why the large ones where so expensive. I had my brother who works at the local dock yard cut me a foot square of ar500 3/4 thick for free. I haven't got to shoot it yet. Im planning on it this weekend at 200 and 300 yards with a .308 and a 300 wby. I'll have to post pics after.
