(You guys are going to facepalm at this one)...for the longest time, I had been pronouncing the Keltec P-3AT as "P- 3 @". I just now realized it should be "eh tee", as in 380.

The sad thing is, I'm a gamer. I should have been able to pick up on something as clever as that.

What about the difference between the Beretta 92 and the Beretta 90-Two? I could just imagine trying to order that one over the phone....

I sometimes overhear people referring to Glock 22 thinking it's a Glock chambered for .22LR.

You mean it isn't????? ;)

I guess it'd have made too much sense to have a Glock 9, Glock 10, Glock 40, Glock 45

I was open carrying once on my property when a car pulled up and asked what kind of gun I was carrying. I said it was a Glock 22. The man then said, "I didn't know Glock made anything in .22!"

Under usual circumstances, I could understand the confusion. However, this was a city cop. Any guesses as to what they carry? HAHA

Two different guns can have the same name. Look at the G36...AKA the 5.56mm assault rifle OR the .45 ACP slimline Glock.

Took me quite a while before I learned how to pronounce Heckler and Koch! Hint: Think soft drink from Atlanta.

Had to call them once. Everyone told me "make sure you pronounce it Heckler and Coke or they'll hang up on you". I practiced several times before calling them. Called the number and a guy answered the phone by saying "Heckler and Cock, can I help you?" I quit worrying about it after that. (It is "coke".)

Yeah, Kel-Tec gave it that name because "P380" was already taken (by Kahr.)

Really? Kahr had that name years before the pistol came out? P3ATs have been around a while. Interesting.

Yeah, but there's zero competition between the G36 and the Glock 36 lol...

The KelTec P3AT and the Kahr P380 are in direct competition... differentiation is necessary.
