Can't they tell you came from THR directly to that poll? I've read about sites where the owner was commenting on where his traffic came from, so I think it's possible. But if you can vote more than once, that's not good web design either.
Then beat um at their own game?

According to the folks on the Hawaiian gun site, they've been pulling multiple votes from the same ISP.

That's where I first spotted the poll.

I copied the URL and entered it in a fresh browser window without voting directly from the Hawaiian website.

This poll is all over every gun site, check Google. Everybody joined in...AR15, Kahr, 1911, Glock, we killed it. We all stomped it out. Gentlemen and ladies, nice going.

I should have voted NO because I don't agree with every NRA policy 100%.

So I lied a little and voted YES.

Am I forgiven?

Liberal math. 32% voted that they agree with the NRA so it just stands to reason that 68% MUST disagree with the NRA, right? I mean, it's just commonsense...............oh, there's that word again. :neener:

Bogus poll...do not respond to it.

Finally! The nay sayers are showing up. I saw a couple earlier that were in the gray area so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and put them down as suspicious , but not negative.

I voted - what the hey - then sent a message asking about the math disparity. For what it's worth, I did receive a separate confirmation of my message so I'll be waiting here with my breath held.

My theory: The 32.2% deficit at the time of my voting is their much leaned upon and often massaged "margin of error" buffer to fiddle with while they wait to see if a poll ends up supporting the pre-determined results.

Okay, I voted in favor of NRA policies. At 1:35am, it's 9874 (32.5%) for NRA policies and 9537 (31.4%) against. But since it's either yes or no, shouldn't the percentages ad up to 100%? What happens to the other 36.1%? Oh, that's right, it's CNN.

Do you agree or disagree with NRA gun policies?

YES, I agree with NRA policies

18937 62.1%

NO, I disagree with NRA policies

13537 44.4%

Numbers better represented but total still off.
BTW, it would not allow me to vote more than once.
It stated I already voted today.

Do you agree or disagree with NRA gun policies?

Do you agree or disagree with NRA gun policies?

YES, I agree with NRA policies
18948 62.2%

NO, I disagree with NRA policies
13537 44.4%

=====================================================

Basically a useless unscientific poll. What does the average respondent know about NRA policies?

NRA provides hunter safety courses, law enforcement training, civilian marksmanship training, historical records, the Eddie Eagle program, the Institute for Legislative Action "gun lobby".

Here is why I don't click on a poll link in a thread:

We have a thread with people worrying about the outcome of an internet poll so it's probably best not to start a discussion about common sense.

Yes is 67%. No organization can be perfect. But apparently the NRA must be all things to all people, at the same time.
For me, the results-not academics-are what count.

I've been waiting months for somebody to mention which Other organization has similar, or more clout to protect our gun rights and
protect the Second Amendment.

Apparently the recent vote in the US Senate would have been exactly the same, without Any lobbying by the NRA.
