This is what I decided to do. I traded around today and ended up with a loaded springfield and a s&w 19-5 and I am very happy with my trade.
BUT the real gem is the S&W 19-5.
That gun is amazing I believe I may have traded any gun for it alone if somebody had walked up to me on the street and offered.
It seems to have had internal work because I have never felt a smoother trigger pull and it breaks on a hair.
I feel like I came out ok, I believe that 357 has found a permanent home.

That Smith would look very nice hanging out in MY safe..........

Looks like a good trade to me, but then I've always been a sucker for a nice wheelgun............

Model 19-5

A S&W k-frame is hard to beat in terms of handling, reliability, accuracy, etc.

There are lots of good reasons why they were the weapons of choice for just about every law enforcement agency in the US for half a century.

I think the Smith would look good hanging out in any safe!

I too am a sucker for wheel guns, that is what pulled me into the trade to begin with. As soon as I was told that he had a model 19 snub I couldnt resist.

If you are not used to S&W trigger pulls, the normal factory SA may seem like a "hair" trigger, but it should break at about 2 1/2 pounds. If it is less than that, someone has probably worked the gun over and it might give trouble later on.

Re the 19:

Unload gun. Cock hammer. Finger off trigger. Push hammer spur from rear. If it falls, you have a problem that needs fixing.

Don't over think it

Just a nice smooth action with an excellent trigger. No problems with it.
