At Sportsman Guide they have a bushing for the 1911 that simply replaces the bushing on your 1911. It is supost to be for reducing muzzle climb but I've seen other "whimsical " items before. Only cost around $17.00 +/-, I think the shipping will be as much as the bushing, just thought I'd throw it out for others to present their thoughts on it.

Will do, I ordered it tonight hopefully it will be here by the middle of the week. Only wish it came from MilSurpStuff, they have the fastest shipping time of anyone.

Should have saved your money.

All I have ever seen are rattily loose in the slide and on the barrel.

And ports don't do anything much at .45 pressure anyway.

I have one that is very similiar, but not that exact model. I had it on an STI Spartan for a while. They are a PITA if you have a full length guide rod, and it did almost nothing for muzzle rise/recoil. Maybe helped a minute amount merely do to some extra weight at the end of the barrel. Aesthetically speaking though I thought it looked cool!
