Anyone try Delta grip for J-frame?

Functionality has a beauty all its own, I guess. Still, those are the ugliest revolver grips I have ever seen.
Pretty much my exact thoughts when I first saw a picture. I guess if you close your hand into a fist the bottom three fingers do fall into that sort of alignment, but it would be very hard for me to get over the new look or new feel after decades of traditional grips.

I too have been interested in them, but have seen little of any type of personal experience related. If they improve function of my SD weapon, I could care less what the 'ell they look like.

Years ago I tried something like that by cutting down and reshaping a Pachmayer Compac grip. Gave a slightly different feel when handling the gun and concealed a bit better than the larger original grip design. For $20 I would try the Delta grip.

I'm always interested in new designs and new ideas. Looking at those, however, the first thing that occurs to me is that they seem to put your index finger at an odd angle to the trigger. Has anyone actually used the grips that could comment on that?

Mine came yesterday and I put 100 rounds of mixed ammo through my 640-1 this morning. My observations:
1.Ugly as a horned toad.
2.Despite the appearance they align the hand to the frame. Every time I drew the sights were immediately aligned.
3. No problem with drawing from a belt holster or my appendix iwb.
4. Dampen felt recoil. Allowed me to shoot .357's for the first time without the impression I had broken my thumb. Follow up shots were easy.
5. Accuracy is slightly better than with any of my other j frame grips.
6. I will stick with my Colt Agent for pocket carry but I believe these grips will stay on my 640-1 for daily belt carry.

Looks like it would be uncomfortable and it is ugly as heck. I would try them.....on someone else's gun, not mine

I understand they may offer some handling, sighting, and recoil advantages for some folks; but I rigged up an existing set of Pachamyr "gripper" to emulate the finger positions and I am very concerned you would have problems getting it out of a pocket. Might work for belt holster carry or some IWB holsters.

The grips I rigged up were obviously inferior to the actual delta product but it did not convince me it was a miracle cure. You can take a full size grip (of which there are but a few) and put it on a J frame and dramatically improve quick, snap shooting as well as slower carefully aimed target fire. When you do ease of concealment goes down for me.

So we will see, but the lack of easy pocket carry is impacted. (SORRY WITHDRAWAL from a POCKET may be cumbersome).

The Yankee Marshal....

Check out the detailed video by TYM on You Tube. :D
He dislikes the look but says it's practical if you shoot a lot of Glocks.

I'm on the fence but maybe it could work.

I am a strong believer in the J-frame ; one of the reasons is because it is one of the best looking gun designs ever! I just could not put those grips on one of my J-frames.

LCR - I am a Ruger fan. My SP101 , SS Single Six , and Mark I are all excellent guns in terms of shooting and eye appeal. I love 'em all. I once put 75 rounds of .38 Sp. through an LCR. Hand and wrist hurt badly the next day.
