The 19-year-old has stirred up controversy with a number of photos posted to her public Facebook page, which she launched in February, in which she smiles and poses beside a series of dead exotic animals — from a lion to a hippo, elephant and more — that she's hunted over the years.

The antis are trying to force FB to remove her page

There is a "vote" of sorts on MSN.com:
http://www.msn.com/

Down on the right side where you can vote yea or nay. Right now she has 72% in her favor.

She is getting death threats...and of course thousands of idiots are sitting behind their keyboard typing about how they wish she were dead. The reasoning is too stupid to even be called hypocrisy.

I guess they also don't understand that if they don't like viewing her pictures on facebook, that they can refrain from going to her page. I personally refrain from Facebook all together.

There is also apparently a petition to have her barred from African Countries. I guess these morons don't understand that thousands of people OTHER than this girl go to those African Countries every year to hunt. I guess these idiots don't understand that some of those countries derive a lot of money from those hunters.

African Safari hunting doesn't appeal to me in any way, but neither does ignorant outrage.

She is probably a pretty smart girl and in a tax bracket most of us dream of ( or her daddy is ) . I think she is getting just what she was looking for ( Press ) .

I think she should be able to keep her pictures , and see nothing wrong with others protesting .

Some people don't realize that people pay a lot of money to hunt exotic animals and that is what keeps them protected . Take away that money and they would soon be extinct .

I hope she gets a TV show .

Funny how the antis don't go after regular hunters who shoot hogs, deer, skunks, and the like and post the results, or fisherman with their catches.

It really isn't a hunting issue or just a dead animal issue, but a majestic dead animal issue.

red rick, I think you are spot-on. The gal is having upper class first world problems for third world exploits, LOL.

Well said HOOfan. It's disgusting that people would threaten the life of another human being over something like this. It's especially disturbing that they would do it to a 19 year old girl.

If Facebook has a policy against posting pictures like this, make her take it down, if they don't have that policy, she keeps them up. Simple as that. It's their website, if people don't like it they can choose to use a different social media site. If you don't like the tv show that is on, change the channel!

I voted in the poll to let her keep them up. The "let her keep them" crowd is at 72%.

kenya stopped hunting and went to picture taking and now all the trackers and skinners and porters are out of work, no income or meat comming in from hunting. the picture takers ride around in land cruisers and take the pic,s,then go back to the lodge to get loaded and leave in the morning feeling good thinking they saved the animals, in fact they doomed animals to slow deaths from hunger and poaching. i saw a impala in botswana with a wire snare on its hind leg dragging a small tree the snare was tied to,it made a teasty meal for the jackels that night. eastbank.

The facts are easily found. Countries that have banned legal regulated sport hunting have lost the majority of their wild animals. Countries that have nurtured sport hunting all have surplussed of wild animals. Animal rights people are swimming in a sea of ignorance while the very thing they proclaim to love is disappearing from around them due in large part to their actions.

While I don't agree with hunting these animals it is a huge source of income for these countries with much of it going to conservation and much of the meat is donated to locals or humanitarian aid.

She should absolutely be allowed to keep her picture up. While I wish there was another way to get money to conservation she's probably done more for the conservation of these animals than any of the key board warriors ever will.

H&H is absolutely right. Proper management allows these animals to thrive, and legal hunting activity funds and helps reduce the poaching. Glad this kid had the education she received from hunting Africa. Not my cuppa tea, but mainly due to costs and the simple fact that I plan to avoid Africa at all costs...
If I want to harvest African game, I can do that quite nicely here in Texas, without the excitement of malaria or Ebola

Just Blowhards.

You can take Facebook idiots with a grain of salt. Few if any have the guts to follow up on their threats, but they think that they are Mr. Macho when they spout off. They whine like my granddaughters about killing animals and then go to Mickey D's and order a Big Mac. One word, "Hypocrites!"

This young lady has shown more intestinal fortitude by posting her pictures than all of the whiners that are supposedly going to kick her butt. If she can shoot that well I believe that I would leave her alone.;)

I personally refrain from Facebook all together.

Me, too. If I WERE on it, there'd sure be pix of dead deer and hogs with their brains scrambled by various handgun loads. :D I just don't want ANYone snooping at my life. I get my social interaction on boards like this where everyone is in tune with their weapons. And, we all know, an armed society is a polite society. :D

10 to 1 the rino was just darted with a drug and not killed, or old and not breeding any more. lions have to be 5 years old or older and run out of a pride by a much younger lion, the lions have to be looked at with glasses to determen the condition of their teeth before shooting.eastbank.

Only problem I had is the white rhino..very endangered.

Papa G,

I am really glad you brought this up as this is a very important talking point and a huge misconception among people.

They don't just go kill Rhinos willie nilly. They are very carefully managed and only the old non breeding bulls are hunted. All legal rhino hunting is done on either privately managed game ranches or parks where the rhinos are carefully monitored. The staff of these places knows exactly which rhinos need to be taken out and which need to stay for breeding purposes. The cost to hunt one is astronomical and funds derived from hunting them is plowed back into rhino conservation. The ONLY reason we have a huntable population of white and black rhinos is because of the hunting of rhinos. Hunting is what pays to keep rhinos on this planet.

Hunters and hunters alone brought rhinos back from the brink of extinction. And the rhino needs hunting derived funds now more than ever since the Chinese have once again began paying top dollar for poached rhino horn and the poaching is once again ratcheting up. The vast majority of money that pays for rhino anti poaching teams is funds from hunters and hunting.

Ms. Kendall (her daddy paying for it I'm sure) did the rhino a vast service by paying to hunt one and money from that hunt went on to save many times that one rhino whether it was a kill hunt or a green dart hunt.

If rhino hunting is stopped and the funds derived form taking the excess old bulls dries rhino will be extinct in short order. No hunting of the rhino will guarantee it's extinction. A tough concept I understand but that is the way it works.

If you still don't understand what I am saying here folks PLEASE watch the video I linked last week. It is a speech given by an anti hunter who was an eye witness to what happens when you ban hunting of a species in Africa (or anywhere else for that matter).

It is contained within the first post here;
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=755434

It is entitled;
How the ban on lion hunting killed the lions

If she killed those animals legally and with all the proper permits etc. etc. I do not see the problem with her hunting them and posting pictures on her social media profile.

It's all the people poaching animal illegally that all the animal lovers should be targeting not a teenage girl who did nothing wrong.

Although I will protect her right to post what she pleases, I don't understand anyone wanting to post a pic anywhere of a dead animal. Just don't get it. It's like the red necks here in the mountains that kill a buck deer and then ride back and forth through town with their tailgates down so people can see what they did. Hunting and killing is fine with me (I do it every chance I get), but I don't see how it's something to brag about either through statements or photos. I don't think more or less of her because she killed animals, but I do think less of her because she has a need to show off.
