if the boxes are full with the correct load there probably be some collector interest. even more if the boxes were in a little better condition. look at the area where the brass and paper meet and look for pin holes. if they look ok they would be ok to shoot.

Early '60s I believe.

Does it have "Keep out of the reach of children" on it? That was mandated in 1962.

Zip codes were introduced in 1963.

I wouldn't hesitate on shooting them, they look good. I have some other vintage shotgun ammo also thats smooth paper

Whoa, how vintage is that, I remember shooting that stuff not too awful long ago while hunting ducks in N/E Wisconsin, dang that makes me vintage so to speak. Actually it was in the early 60's, also used it for partridge, and rabbits, lots of heavy brush to clear back then. I do believe they were plastic even back then, but I could be wrong.

It does not say keep out of reach of children so its older than 1963 right

The latest photo's are of Winchester ammo 2 5/8" ammo the ones I thought you were referring to are Remington. That Winchester is probably late 1890-to 1920's.

If that's vintage, then so am I. :D

Nothing smells as good as a freshly fired paper hull shotgun shell...

Il count them, if i have an access one or two of them il shoot them to see what it smells like. They're all in good shape since they was in a box all together all their life. I had all the boxes to them but the rely old ones beig that old the box fell apart,
They wont be black powder will they?

the shells are not black powder. just look at where the paper and brass come together and check for pin holes and stuff. I shot some real old shot shells and when I ejected the shell only the brass head came out. I looked down the barrel and nothing was there. it seems the shot , wads and the paper case all went out the barrel
