Wait, what was the present the gun, the knife, or the This-End-Up table they're sitting on?

Knife I already had. Ruger was a birthday present from my wife. 60 years old next month.

Happy (though somewhat belated), 60th Birthday! A most excellent gift as well. Let us know how it does at the range as I'm also interested in how well this new trigger design works.

Nice CCW pistol. From everything I've read the LC9s has a much nicer trigger than the LC9.

Just make sure to remove the stupid magazine disconnect, there are a lot of videos on YouTube detailing removal of the LC9 magazine disconnect, the LC9s is probably the same.

I don't think I'll be doing that. I can live with it.

A magazine disconnect means that is the magazine is out, a round cannot be fired. If this is a pistol that you may use to defend your life someday, a magazine disconnect IMO is a bad idea.

In time of stress you could draw this pistol, inadvertantly hit the mag release button, and render the pistol unable to fire. Just something to think about.

I'm familiar with magazine disconnects, I've been carrying a gun for years with one. It isn't a feature I'm crazy about, but it's not a show stopper either. However, if it came on the gun it's gonna stay on the gun. I know it's been batted around a lot on THR, but I don't want the extra layer of legal issues with a modified should it ever be employed.
