Well, after mulling this one over for a few days, I figured I'd give it a shot. So here she is, just a plain old SP101 with some nicer sights and fancier grip, feels good though, think I'm going to like her.

Figured I'd share couple pictures before she deploys in the field.

Hansom looking revolver. Always loved those grips. Nice score. Must say I'm a little jealous.

A very nice looking gun. I love the combat sights they put on this gun and the WC GP100.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't include the "fingerprint" wood grips on this gun, though, like all the other WC guns have.

Great looking gun, especially with those easy to see sights and the stylish grips.

Is there some tapering/rounding of the forward end of the cylinder? It kind of looks like it. The WC GP100's had it, but I did not think the SP101's did.

Very nice! Those sights really look good, and look like they would work well.

Congratulations! Tough, handsome gun that should last you a lifetime easily...

I am really wanting them to do a run of these SP101 chasis with the 3" barrel option. That would pretty much be my dream .357

I inspected both a WC and a standard SP101 today on an unsupervised gun store trip, I would have to say the WC does appear to have a gentle taper on the cylinder front.

Been carrying my regular SP for 19 years. Ain't no way I'm selling it to replace it with the latest and greatest.

I've got the 3" Wiley Clap GP100 and a regular SP101, half tempted to sell of my regular SP101 and replace it with the Wiley Clap version...........
Is your gun hard chromed with a matte finish or was it bead blasted?

Not to rain on the OP's parade, I'm not sure converting a short-barreled SP-101 to the Wiley Clap version. If you plan on shooting it at longer distances, I can see your point. But my shortie SP-101 seems to be close to being all that it can be...hoo-rah! Seriously, though I love the looks of the embedded wood insert grips, the best grips I've found for my shortie is the Pachmayr Compacts.

I would have gotten the longer barrel SP-101, but I already had a 3-inch Speed-Six (below). I don't have a photo of my Compact grips, but they've very much like those on the Speed-Six. (Geesh, I'm glad I got one of those before Ruger decided to discontinue the "Six" series. The action is like glass now that I've worked on it.)
