I believe that would be a 10-point in PA. The changed the rules on how to count the points here and I can never remember what they are. Even though I look at the rules every year I just seem to forget it right after, must be my rebellious side.

Most people, like me, are probably just looking at the photo of a very nice buck and really have no idea on how to score it.

Congrats on a great buck...10 points and good mass to the antlers, but I can't give a guess on the score.

I'mmcertainly no authoritarian and am basing this on nonting but images of similiar bucks nd memory, but I'd say somwhere in the range of 145-155. That certainly is NOT the opinion of an expert whose personally scored several deer, however.

Can't really tell about the spread but I would guess 125- 130. It looks like a 16" spread, 20" mainbeams, G2's and 3's in the 6" range and 4"-4. 1/2" circumference. Let me know how close I got.

Judging from the age of the buck, I'd score it good, but will need a little extra time to let the marinade do its job.

133 +/- gross.

If it were a southern deer, I'd guess 123. Less than a 15" inside spread, tines are close together so ~19" main beams, average length tines and mass.

Hard to tel with only one view but I'm going in the 125 to 130" range as well. Nice mature little buck though.

Without measuring it's really hard to tell. Hard to get scale from the pic also. It's a really nice buck, but tine length is a little short. I'm in the 120-130 group. If you have approximate measurements, here an easy way to get close.....

Here's a 135'' from that site..... 78dd55_4c1f9b5c762a10b93807e84f1086a358.jpg_srz_p_182_247_75_22_0.50_1.20_0.jpg

I think 130-135 is going to be in the ball park.

It has good width and good mass. Not very tall though, so that'll hurt the score a little.

If you get it scored, let us know how close we are.

And one more thing. Don't judge a trophy by the inches it scores. I read your other threads. I know that's your first buck with a bow and that's a fine accomplishment. It's a great deer regardless of how few or many inches it scores.

ill score it in a few days, im not too concerned about the score i was just wondering.( i went to hunt a buck and the 10 seconds i had to draw back and take him i then realized i didn't know anything about antlers. he was the oldest one of the group not the biggest but i figured i would leave the younger bigger one to spread those genes.) i am taking care of the meat first before the rack. it is a nice mature deer and i just thought i would get a buck because i never have.

It Scored 142 Unofficial. Also considered a 10 Point. Taxidermist did it for me but it hasn't been dry long enough, he said it wouldn't go below 140 though if it changed at all.

awesome, I wasn't as far off as I'd thought I might be after reading others responses!

Wow! 142? From that picture, I'd have never guessed there was that much bone. I was going to say 125-130 max.

I'm kinda with everybody else, 140 tops probably more in the 125-130 range. My 8 point is similar and is a 122" so I'm guessing a little more due to the extra tines, but then again my 8 is a bit taller so it may be a wash. My guess 128 7/8"

Wrong again...I need your taxidermist to measure my 8 pt...
