I was very fortunate to find this muzzleloader flintlock at an affordable price.
I have started black powder muzzleloading shooting the last 2 years. I was tempted to leave this flintlock on the rack just to look at, but it deserves to be used. So, I shoot it now and again.
Although the wood and barrel and trigger system are modern, and the rifle was put together in 1990, the lock was made around 1790-1820 by H.W. Mortimer, armorer to the Queen od England. Amazingly, it is the best sparker of my flintlocks.
