Who else besides me is attending? Looks go be a good one with three relays, two Saturday and one on Sunday. I am shooting the Sunday relay.

I'll be working it ether as an SO or CSO in one of the bays. :)

You'll be able to spot me easily. I'm the one wearing a vest, tactical pants, and some facial hair.

Lemme help...Sam's not middle-aged or overweight. That ought to narrow it down quite a bit. :D

LOL. When I find out what bay I'm on I'll post it. Probably not too many "Sams" in the SO roster.

I believe I am in squad 43. Yes I have shot 3 or 4 and a qualifier. I think this match will be really challenging. I have met and shot several matches that this match director has set up and he is brutal, meaning he likes to challenge shooters both mentally and physically. They also have a nice wooded area that they set up a stage or two in.

Sorry if I am rambling, if you have shot there, then you know all of this.

Yup, I have shot several matches there myself, certainly looking forward to this one.

...squad 43
Maybe I'm just confused or I'm misunderstanding.

Does this mean there are a lot of shooters or that the stages are short?

We're having an IDPA Regional later this year, with 14 stages shot over two days...but I think we're only running 250 shooters

There are three relays. Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday. You shoot the whole match in one relay. I don't know how long the stages are or anything but it seems the squads are small. It think there is only 6 or 7 shooters in mine. I think that is how they plan to shoot them in shorter time periods.

Sam, I'm regretting that I forgot to look for you and introduce myself. The boat stage was a blast! One of the few I didn't screw up royally.... It was a very long and hot day, but certainly enjoyable. The staff did a great job. Hopefully I'll have another opportunity to introduce myself in the future.

Oh, no problem, I'm sure I'll meet you eventually!

I agree it was long and hot. But DANG. Friday was the KILLER. 97 deg reported with the heat index at way over 100. And I don't think that accounts for standing in those bays with little breeze and no shade. Gads, what an oven! Thought we were going to lose some folks. I know my mind was going by the end of the staff shoot. Amazing how that takes it out of you!

Glad you enjoyed yourself, and be sure to check back next year. Cole promises all sorts of grand improvements for next year now that Peacemaker has a Sanctioned IDPA match under their belts.

Great Match

Thanks Sam!! I had a blast and it was good to meet you. Thanks for all you and the staff did to make it the success it was.
I look forward to next year as well. I'm going to go start another thread and start talking about The Beast Of the East in two weeks.

There are pictures and/or video of everybody on my squad except for me...

On a positive note, it appears as though I have been promoted to sharpshooter in SSP. I shoot a G19, in which I classified SS in CCP earlier this year, but I am still on the fence as to whether I want to compete in CCP or SSP going forward.

Captains1911, there were 3 SSP Marksman bumped, which one were you? I also got bumped in ESP to Sharpshooter.

Congratulations!!
