It would be closer to 357 SIG. In my quest to determine loads for what I call 357 SIG Long (357 SIG loaded to 10mm OAL), I came across some load data for 9mm AE. I was specifically interested in AA No. 9 powder.
I mean as far as ballistics I think the 9mm AE is going to be very similar to 9mm Dillon - probably pushing a 115gr bullet between 1800 and 1900 fps and a 147gr bullet between 1450 and 1550 fps.
The 9mm AE was actually an experimental pistol round being developed by Evan Whildin, the co-inventor and developer of both the .41 and .50 AE rounds. He was working at Action Arms in Philly when I met him and he showed me the different rounds and loads he was working on. No 9mm AE ammo was ever commercially produced.
