WVGunman,
The MEC 600 is a great solid press. I've loaded thousands of rounds with one. Now I have several for 12, 16, and 20 ga. Parts availability are not an issue with MEC. It's still the same basic press ad a model purchased in the 60's or 70's. They changed the dies from metal to...
I bought one of the first 10mm M&P when they were announced/released. I put in a standing order with LGS (my son works there) and he texted the minute they came in. Mine is the 4.6" w/ thumb safety. That was December of 2021.
I have not had a single issue with it to date.
Then around...
Exactly! My son works at a large volume gun store and he says by far the largest % of ATF calls looking for 4473 tracebacks is for stolen firearms from vehicles.
And from a pure defensive perspective... you car isn't a holster.
Oh the memories with my dad's JC Higgins single shot 22 shooting starlings. We were not farmers but surrounded by diary farms. That was my marksmanship training shooting those sorry rascals. Yes they would try to get into our eves also.
I shot them out of every window in the house, walking...
I'm with others on this. Knowing how bad the accuracy is there is something mechanically wrong here. A new crown on this barrel is like putting a band-aid on a sucking chest wound. Didn't it slow down the bleeding... well a little bit. But there are other issues to address.
Maybe looking at...
Sir, this is going off topic of this thread. I stand by the above statements so anyone reading this can make up thier own minds. Let's just leave it at that.

Armoredman, Understood if that is your experience. That is why this is a public forum and we all get to report on our experiences.
I know what I measured and the very predictable outcome was with that pistol. I could take loaded ammo and measure the case length with a set of calipers and...
If you don’t mind me jumping in…
My best buddy bought a P10C when they came out in 2016 or 17?? He loved the ergo and I’ve shot it some also. Accuracy and reliability is solid. But the reason he moved away from it was the CIP spec chamber tolerances. We reload and a CIP spec chamber only...
I’ve seen all the arguments, statistics, opinions. To me practicing doing a good reload isn’t difficult and doesn’t have to cost anything. It can be done with dry practice at home. A spare mag costs 20-40 dollars plus ammo. It cheap easy insurance that doesn’t take a lot of work or money...
If it works for you!
I personally carry modified AIWB at 10:30 position being a lefty. My holster has a wing that extends around to my left hip, but the mounting hardware is setup like yours on the opposite side so it doesn't get in the way of my zipper or belt buckle,
That large extension...
I Google it and found several pictures. Very similar to a MEC 600 single stage press. I'm guessing there isn't anything mechanical in the press that I locks it up without having a shell in it. It's a simple single stage. But, that is just a guess.
I'm thinking more along the lines on Kudo...
Stock M&P 9c w/ Trigicon NS. The corners of the slide is worn down white. 1 extractor, 2 strikers, and 3?? Recoil springs replaced. Got a lot of rounds through it.
I keep it simple... I standardized on the M&P platform about 2008/2009 and still carry that setup to this day. Familiarity of ergonomics is my main thought for defensive purposes.
I train and can run and speedload my revolvers pretty well. But I never carry as primary ever for reasons stated...
Raised in the country and back then hunting/fishing season wasn't a sport. What was killed or netted was cleaned and eaten. Walked miles in the footsteps of my dad and/or grandfather in smallgame season.
My dad shot ATA registered trap in late 60s early 70's so my job as a little kid was to...
WML AND handheld lights require proper training during low light range time. There is no substitute.
Take your Chapstick out of your pocket and dab your fingertip on the tip and coat the lense thoroughly. It will take secs to clean your lense with a tissue. Done it a few hundred times.
Love my 30-06's. There are rifles with better numbers for velocity, drop, etc with more and less recoil. But I killed my first deer with a 1917 Enfield that my dad sporterized. I now have my grandfather's sporterized 1917 Enfield that between him and I have killed a ton of deer with.
I...
I'm a practical guy, but have a wish list that will never happen. So this is a combo of practical/utilitarian and I wish:
1 a registered magnum. We'll it's a register magnum.
2 a Ruger Single-10. Target, fun, varmints, small game
3 S&W 610 no dash 6"
4 Freedom Arms in a heavy caliber.
5 I'll...
