Sorry if I was unclear in OP. I only want a safety with single action. I definitly do not want safety with Double action, and really want DAO if double action.
I've looked into compact 1911s before and always seem to be met with uncertainty as to their reliability. Is the Sig different? Also is...
Looking for a pistol that meets these qualifications:
1. 9mm
2. Thin, preferably single stack. Thick pistols print on me.
3. Compact but not micro. IE 4 fingers on the grip like a Glock 19, not just 2 like a Glock 26.
edit: 4. Single action with safety, or fairly smooth/light double action only...
Been meaning to get a Star Model BM in decent condition. Haven't been able to find one locally. Does anyone know of a reputable place to get one? Also, what should I look to be paying for one?
Thanks in advance,
Jak
I'm looking to buy a used second generation Glock 19 and am curious about what would be a fair price for one in decent condition.
Thanks in advanced for your help.
Not sure what you consider reasonable prices, but as to well stocked gun shops in Reno I would recommend Cabela's(as you already mentioned) and Sportsman's Warehouse(If its still open). If you like Cabela's I would also recommend checking out Scheels, its like Cabela's but bigger, lots of guns...
Exactly, the un-burnt/currently burning powder has to escape some where, whether it be the ports or the end of the barrel, it is eventually going to come out as a flash.
If you have the cash you can buy the compensated model, and then put a non-compensated after-market barrel in, have the...
Both pistols are great choices. I went with the Ruger simply because I liked the grip angle.
I believe that most of the take down issues come from the design being dissimilar to what people are used to. I never had a problem after the first time, and if you read and follow the instructions I...
I personally love my mark III Target Competition.
I would assume by your name that you own/shoot Glocks, I find that the normal Ruger 22s(non-22/45) have a similar grip angle to Glocks, if thats what you're looking for.
I gotta admit, Jason Bourne/David Webb, is really the American incarnation of a modern James bond.
As said before, he wouldn't carry anything.
Now a cold war American James Bond would carry a cut down Nagant with a detachable suppressor.
Looks awesome, and might actually have a practical use.
According to another web site I read (defense review) they should come out in limited quantities as a "short barreled rifle". My bet is it will sell out extremely quickly and they'll do a larger run.
Not exactly sure how you would define any weapon as an "assault weapon", but if there is such a thing the Israeli's seem to have made the 10/22 into one:

Wax is used on a car that is already painted, not applied directly to the metal.
And those guns that people apply wax to, yeah, they usually are doing that in ADDITION to the bluing already on their guns.
Wax can come off leaving the metal exposed. The slide needs some other kind of protection...
It was originally thought that the notch was there so that if the gun is dropped on the hammer an armorer could tell and then check the pistol for internal malfunctions caused by the drop.
A (bad)translation of the owners manual however seems to indicate that the notch itself is a safety meant...
For the price of a used P7M8 I could get 4 P225s, or 2 new p229s, the magazines also seem to be insanely high in price.
$350 I can justify, $1400 I can't.
I was wondering about that too, im going to call them up and ask what exactly they do.
@hokkmike: I can't buy right now, and I'm not sure its exactly what i want. Thats why I'm trying to get as much information as possible. I usually buy new, but new Sigs are definitely expensive but with the...
