Is one of these deer a taker?

Awesome job! I just shot my first buck on Monday, and he was a small 6 point. Any one of those bucks would be considered a TROPHY around here (PA).

Deafening Silence on New Jersey Magazine 10 Rd Cap

If Christie ever ever has any ambitions toward running for president, under a Republican ticket, he has to veto that bill. He'd never get anywhere if he didn't.

Knowledgeable about lever-actions? Marlin vs. Mossberg

I have a Marlin and a Mossburg. Do be honest, it's hard to tell a difference. Both weigh about the same, look about the same, feel about the same. The Mossburg may be a bit more accurate, but the Marlin isn't any slouch. The reason I use the Marlin more than the Mossburg, is that the Mossburg is...

Why are these priced so low?

I sure hope there will always be a market for wood and steel semi-autos.

Why are these priced so low?

I stand corrected. Maybe there's for of a demand for them around here (south central PA) than in other places. Typical price for a used mini-14, at an auction, is between $700-800.

Why are these priced so low?

According to Ruger the MSRP is $900. Now you can figure a bit lower than that, but not $650. Your FFL charges $30-50?? I can get a transfer for $20 at the LGS. http://ruger.com/products/mini14RanchRifle/models.html

Why are these priced so low?

Even if they are old, $571 and $430 for a mini-14 is LOW!

Why are these priced so low?

JMR I've NEVER seen a mini-14 go for less than $550, and that was a beat up old one at an auction. I work for an auction company here in PA and we do quite a few gun sales. kwg, I have a feeling that is why they are cheap. Skinny barrel and Minute Of Pumpkin accuracy.

Why are these priced so low?

Any partitular reason? The mini-14 on the top link in brand new! THe mini-14 in the bottom link, would that scope mount and muzzle brake have something to do with it's low price? Thanks. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=420764244...

    M1A vs. M14

Can someone explain the difference to me? I always thought that the M-14 was the full auto military version, and the M1A was the civilian version. I was at a gun show today and a guy told me that basically the difference was that the M14 is better quality than the M1A. This guy know what he was...
