That's impressive. 400 yards with iron sights is certainly better than i could do. And it indicates the M1A is better than the Internet tries to say it is. The M1A is on my short list of firearms I'd like to get.
I've been on a 45 ACP 1911 kick lately, and today was more of that. I took my Springfield Armory Mil-Spec to the range and put 100+ rounds through it. I tried some holster work and found I need more dry-fire practice to be proficient in summer wear. The light shirt tail was not as easy to manage...
Welcome, MikeLucky. Don't let anyone criticize your guns - or if they do, just ignore the criticisms. We all started somewhere. My first gun was a .40 S&W. Afterwards I "learned" from the Internet that caliber was uncool - or something. Fortunately, you have joined one of the most civilized gun...
This 7600 is from the mid-1980's if I remember correctly. The picture I took makes the stock look too shiny - in real life it is just beautiful. I got three magazines with it when I traded for it last year.
For me, it was a 1911 day at the range. I took my EDC Kimber Arctic LW and a Tisas to the range. I had put together an assortment of every different profile of JHP I could find in my ammo fort, as well as some RN range ammo as a control. I was looking for these many Kimber issues I keep hearing...

Welcome! You have joined one of the more civilized firearm forums around. There is a wealth of information here, from reloading to general gun discussions to legal aspects of gun ownership and how to preserve these rights. What you won't find is a lot of politics, which is tricky when we are...

The shelf was marked $99.95 but it rang up correctly at the register.
I have three ranges I am a member of. Two of them are $25/year, and all that gets me is a quicker sign in at the front desk, since I don't have to fill out the paperwork every time I go there. There is still a range rental fee. The third range is $20/month and that is unlimited no-cost visits...
Family in from out of town and an early snowfall has frustrated my plans to go shoot. I may take a long lunch later this week and go to the range. But I also need to check the zero on my rifle, so I might not get to the Aguila.
Here is a working link for the Aguila, which is still in stock as of the time I'm posting this. Use code sms20 for additional savings.
