I went with a Lee Classic Cast Turret Press instead of a single stage press. I can load in single stage mode or use as a turret with or without the auto indexing. If you don't want a progressive or are looking at a single stage, a turret press is probably a much better option.
These new Mossberg rifles look promising!

Have two PSA uppers both shoot very well. One a chrome lined mil spec premium upper $399 with FN barrel the other the economy $289 upper both came with BCG and CH were on sale. Accuracy on both really depends on ammo neither are free floated and I"m getting 1" with handloads. Factory ammo tends...
Really?! I'm not going to go as far as saying this is one of the tallest tales I've heard in a while but M855 doesn't do 1/2MOA all day long and I'd love it if it did. Would save me a lot of time at the reloading bench.
What is the use for the rifle? Semi-auto's are for action shooting sports...
+1 very happy with the Competition Electronics ProChrono Digital Chronograph. Keep good 9V batteries in them and they work without any issues on normal and moly bullets.
The rifle: DPMS TAC2 1-9twist (verified) 16" bbl, chrome lined, 5.56 chamber, rifle gas system. It's a nice rifle and functions fine. This is a friend of mines rifle who is getting back into shooting after a hiatus.
Some interesting results from helping him zero and test some loads in it...
If you want an adjustable trigger I made a number of them with small pointed allen screws picked up at ace hardware, my drill press, and a tap for under $6. Take a look at the huber trigger and think along those same lines. I couldn't spend $100 for a trigger on a $100 rifle. Make sure you use...
Thanks for posting this up looks fun but very difficult. Have a new 22lr on the way. Now just need to find some match ammo it likes. Any help with finding match ammo much appreciated PM me if you know where I can score a few boxes of Wolf MT, Eley, etc.
Need more info: do you have an mod 11 or 111? Have you called Savage Arms Parts to see what they sell the bottom metal for? Does your plastic stock have a removable magazine or integral? Post up a picture and give more info if you want better advise your description doesn't tell us much.

Since this subject has been covered so well. Let me add one more tip that might also help. Be sure you have your Full Length Die set up properly to actually do it's job. I made the mistake of making 100 rounds set up incorrectly and still jammed my rifle with two rounds that were just too tight...
Have the Cabela's media separator. It was purchased as a kit with my tumbler on sale. I recall both were $65 a few years ago. Never had to empty brass one by one so I spoiled myself from the beginning in this area.
One suggestion - Don't eliminate a good bolt rifle due to mag capacity. Shooting at the range I often just hand feed my bolt guns one at a time so a single shot works fine for that.
My rifle sports a PSA Premium M4 upper and it's been trouble free and accurate for two outings. Between Both outings I've shot a mix of Lake City 55GR 100rnds, PMC XTAC 62GR (40rnds), PPU 69Gr Match (40rnds), TulAmmo 55gr (80Rnds), and a handful of old hand-loads I had hanging out in the .223...
I use a smart reloader digital scale and once it has warmed up it works just fine. It is sensitive to air moving and frankly should be as air pressure will push on the scale and should register - simple physics. Has a check weight that I've used to check it regularly with and re zero / tare as...
I see just 4 to 6 with LC brass before the primer pockets get loose but up to 10 with most LC brass and other brass so I voted 10. This varies so much it's hard to vote correctly.
