100% accurate response. I have a couple of Handi's. I made the mistake of buying my first in 357 Mag on SB1 frame. I've since acquired rifle calibers on SB2 frames. At some point I sent them all to H&R to have other barrels fitted. They inspected and fit barrels in 44 Mag, 12GA and 20GA...
I bought my first 590A1 a decade ago and a couple of years thereafter purchased the 14" version below. We hosted a defensive shotgun class this weekend and it was one of two guns on the line that didn't experience issues. Never a problem from either of mine. I greatly prefer the tang safety...
If it's on a Form 1 or Form 4 in another state the seller would need to work with a local FFL/SOT and apply to have the item transfered to a Form 3 (Fee = $200), then a tax free transfer on Form 3 from FFL/SOT to FFL/SOT, then you pay another $200 tax to apply for a Form 4 transfer. Wait...
Tikka T3 chambered in 270 Win shooting 150gr Partitions is my preferred hunting rifle. I have literally hundreds of rifles to choose from, numerous calibers. Often times I bring along a stick that I haven't used in years, but the Tikka is always around the camp. I've yet to recover a bullet...
Colorado DPW does have a sanctioned on-line Hunters Education class. You take 80% of the class on-line then show up for 4 hours to a proctored class. Take your written test then go fire your 10 shots, done.
Check to be sure your state authorizes this class and you are good to go!
Sorry TOM, I can't get anywhere near your numbers.
Let's compare prices of factory Federal Premium using a 180 grain Nosler Partition:
Federal Premium Vital-Shok Ammunition 308 Winchester 180 Grain Nosler Partition Box of 20 = $36.99
Federal Premium Vital-Shok Ammunition 300 Winchester...
I was an early adopter of piston driven AR's, been using mine for nearly a decade. All of my +16" guns are DI, but for the short barrels, nothing beats the realiablity of LWRC. I own a 'few'.
I had the same problem with a couple lever guns. Call the folks at XS with solid information (i.e. POI is 9" above POA at 75 yards) They cut me 4 custom front sights, shipped them to me for free, and included return postage for the first sight. They were great to deal with.
I recently had a few out of the safe, and managed to snap a picture.
Left to Right; 1) SBR lower, 2) Custom 19.50" ARP 6.8 x 43 with Swarovski Z6, 3) 8.50" LWRC 6.8 SPCII (Aimpoint T-1 MIA?), 4) 10.5" LWRC SRT 5.56 with TA33 ACOG, 5) 10.5" LWRC M6A2 5.56 with Aimpoint T-1, 6) 14.5" Basic M4...
I have a Glenfield 60 and three 795's. They all shoot well, some excellent. He's a picture of my boy shooting the suppressed 795. This rifle has a DIP trigger/guard, Weaver 4x, ultraflex sling.
I think travisd somehow got ahold of a picture of another 795's I own. :)
