    G42 has been getting the most carry time lately---7 in the gun a reload is almost a must and that only gets me 6 more rounds- about the only times I don't carry a reload is going to the dumpster or laundry room or the occasional drive thru for McDonalds breakfast on my day off.

    Looking for more information on old Mercury Model M-34, single shot 10 gauge shotgun. Made in Spain.

    When I was a kid, my dad had a 10ga Mercury Magnum which was a double barrel shotgun. I don't recall him actually shooting it but he had one and man that thing was big and heavy. I believe he bought it in the early 1960's, which would probably be the same time period as yours.

    Yay or Nay on a NIB 4" Colt DS-II?

    The last DS I looked at back in the day was so poorly made the cylinder slop was so bad, I considered it being unsafe, especially for a NIB gun. $2200??? oh hell no I'm sort of a Colt fan with a 1911 and a couple ARs---but for me their revolvers have left something to be desired.

    S&W 629 deluxe 3" Barrel OAL 6.83", is that correct?

    Not sure on the numbers but mine is fairly easy to conceal with a Galco holster----even the weight becomes less noticeable even though you still notice it. Whats crazy is that my .44 weighs less than my 6in 686 Plus .357.

    I might be wrong, but I think the older ones had a solid trigger and the newer ones have the back of the trigger is somewhat hallowed out----should be easy to tell the difference.

    I bought a new one and changed the grips to make it like an old one---those Hogue's are hideous. But love the Hogue grips on my SP101--more of an ice cream cone shape.

    I favor my Browning X-bolt .270 because it's so light and trim but also have a stainless Ruger Hawkeye .30-06---both wear Zeiss glass.

    "Probably" a new Mini-30 I've had AKs in the past and dislike AKs but I like the round. Plus the Mini is now less expensive than a AK these days despite being expensive itself. Have already bought another Glock this year.
